Programme Officer, EU Funded Programmes

  • Salary of €44,851

The Programme Officer for EU Funded Programmes will play an important role in the delivery of our clients mission. Your excellent project management skills and organisational & networking abilities are essential for the delivery of their ambitious European programme, which funds excellent research with high impact.

The individual will be based in Dublin and will work in close partnership with the national EU Network and will also work closely with other national funders and broader EU funding agencies.

Duties will include:

  • Coordination and management of the EU Joint Programming obligations including management of the working group tasks assigned to the organisation.
  • Implementing their approach to EU cofund opportunities under Horizon Europe and other EU funded programmes.
  • Relaunching and actively promoting the organisations Brussels conference programme.
  • Management and updating of their Horizon Europe Call dashboard.
  • Be the organisations EU liaise with Research bodies and their Research Centres.

Essential criteria required:

  • Candidates holding a MSc or PhD in a STEM discipline.
  • Proven track record ideally with at least 3 years’ experience postgraduate in either academia or industry.
  • Scientific knowledge and appropriate skillset which will be respected by the academic, industrial and EU communities.
  • Experience in and awareness of the European framework funding arena and EU co-fund programmes.
  • Strong capacity to identify and assess information relating to new EU funding opportunities in the relevant areas.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain a network of contacts across academic, funding agency, industry and public-sector communities.
  • Ability to quickly learn the coordination and administration of their programme of proposal assessment, grant approval, setting of performance targets and monitoring of progress.
  • Ability to serve effectively as a member of the Directorate.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, writing and interpersonal skills.
