This is your opportunity to join the only standalone Products team in an Irish law firm as a Solicitor to provide regulatory and litigation advice.
This team advises clients in the pharmaceutical, medical device, cosmetic, consumer goods, software, wearables, gaming, food and technology industries in relation to regulatory compliance throughout the life cycle of a product. This is a dual role requiring the successful applicant to provide regulatory advice in relation to placing products on the EU Market (e.g. medicines, medical devices, cosmetics, toys, consumer products, electronics etc) and dealing with contentious litigious matters involving defective products covering both medical devices/medicines and consumer products.
Interestingly, you will also be involved in investigations by regulatory bodies and conducting corrective action in the market such as product recalls, rapex notifications and withdrawals.
The candidate:
Depending on level of knowledge/ ambition, applicants should have in excess of three years PQE in life sciences, consumer products or healthcare matters.
Experience in product liability, particularly healthcare product liability defence, will be a distinct advantage;
Experience in life science advisory work will be a distinct advantage;
Candidates with defence litigation experience from the insurance sector will be considered.
