My client, a professional financial services organisation based in Dublin 2 are seeking to hire an experienced Infrastructure Support Analyst to provide support to global users, maintain existing infrastructure and help implement new applications and technologies
In addition, the successful person with assist with the IT Service Desk.
The successful candidate should have an interest in server and compute technologies and have a basic understanding of networking technologies.
If role will require some travel to office locations within the Dublin vicinity, a full driver’s license and access to your own vehicle is required.
You will;
- Perform desk-side and remote support as part of a larger international IT Support team
- Take responsibility for the global support queue in Service Now
- Assist the broader worldwide IT team and keeping the local stock record, it is the European time zone's responsibility to be in charge of the starts and leavers procedure.
- Ensure tickets are logged in Service Now, customers kept updated and issues resolved within agreed service levels
- Produce and maintain knowledge articles related to IT systems, processes, ticket resolutions and assist training IT Starters
- Proactively research and report on issues to the IT Manager with suggested improvements
- Provides solutions to unique business applications and/or core application and O/S
- Provide support for standard desktop applications – MS Office 2016, Outlook, Citrix, and Windows 10
- Management of mobile devices/virtualised desktop environments (Citrix)
- Support of VoIP, video conference systems and telephony system (Zoom)
- Administration and support of the Core Platform environment
- Training will be on going based on individual and firm’s needs and changes to any relevant technology, including full training on the data centre aspect of the role
Requirements:
- Either a relevant IT Degree or two to four years technical experience, ideally in a professional services environment or an MSP
- Strong communication skills and building rapport with clients, other support teams and external service providers
- Good team player with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work on own initiative and under pressure
- Ability to develop and manage relationships with staff and clients
- Excellent problem management and troubleshooting skills
- Flexibility and adaptability key to this role
- Ability to take on other responsibilities as the role develops
- Can do attitude and positive approach to work
- Capable of multitasking and experienced problem solver, can think laterally about issues
- Must have a basic understanding of server and networking technologies
- Additional certification a bonus but not essential (e.g. CompTIA, CCNA etc.)
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential
