This global international law firm  is hiring a Tax Advisor to join their internal tax function reporting to the Head of Partnership Tax Affairs.

This role is based in their Dublin office and will focus on maintaining tax compliance and Irish tax filing requirements which have grown as the firm's London office continues to expand.

About the role:

  • Liaise with HR and Finance when employees go on secondment to the US and UK to ensure that all required PAYE and social security applications are complete, so that the secondees seamlessly and correctly transition to a new payroll;
  • Monitor the status of any extensions or reductions in the secondment term for each secondee and ensure that these changes are implemented correctly from a payroll perspective;
  • Assist with UK tax filings including Short term Business Relief applications;
  • Provide advice regarding the tax treatment of employee benefits including relocation expenses, benefits in kind etc;
  • Review invoices to ensure that these have issued from the correct jurisdiction and that they include all required details, and assist and train the billing specialists on UK invoicing requirements;
  • Reconcile the UK VAT return quarterly;
  • Prepare the annual application for directors PAYE exclusion orders and deal with any queries arising from same; and
  • Assist with the preparation of Irish tax filings, including Enhanced Employer Reporting Requirements.

The person:

  • You are a qualified tax professional with a minimum of 3 PQE;
  • You have prior experience in providing tax compliance services;
  • You demonstrate an excellent knowledge of tax compliance, particularly PAYE and VAT;
  • You are very organised with the ability to prioritise tasks;
  • You are self-driven with a demonstrable commitment to continuous improvement and best practice;
  • You display excellent IT skills, are an expert Excel user and can demonstrate experience of finance and practice management systems;
  • You are highly analytical with strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • You have experience of working in a large corporate environment; and
  • You display an enthusiastic, positive attitude and a strong work ethic.

This role can be full-time or part-time (min 3 days per week) Salary €50k-€60k plus bonus and excellent bens package. Hybrid role with flexible work options
