Key Responsibilities
- Lead planning and delivery of complex IT projects and programmes.
- Coordinate project management activities with internal and external partners.
- Oversee project delivery, testing, and quality assurance.
- Support business readiness, transition, and deployment activities.
- Manage cross-functional teams and ensure effective communication with stakeholders.
- Develop and monitor project plans, budgets, timelines, and resources.
- Track progress, risks, and issues, implementing resolutions where required.
- Ensure compliance with governance and change management processes.
- Provide leadership, motivation, and clear reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
Skills & Knowledge
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall, PRINCE2).
- Experience in resource planning, stakeholder engagement, and multi-vendor coordination.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage complexity, ambiguity, and competing priorities.
Experience & Qualifications
Essential
- Degree (Level 8 or equivalent) in IT, Computer Science, Project Management, or related field.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience managing IT projects or programmes.
- Experience working in a PMO or multi-vendor environment.
- Professional project management certification (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2).
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g. ClickUp).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable
- Experience with Microsoft-based or integrated systems.
- Public sector experience.
- Understanding of customer experience and service delivery.
