Lex Consultancy is currently recruiting a Senior Accountant – Investments on behalf of a global financial services firm based in Dublin. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant to develop their expertise within investment accounting, financial reporting, and technical accounting in an international environment.
The role will work closely with senior finance stakeholders, supporting reporting processes, investment portfolio activities, technical accounting requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support monthly and quarterly investment portfolio reporting, including management, Board, GAAP, statutory, and external reporting.
- Prepare and review investment-related journal entries, reconciliations, and valuation analysis.
- Support accounting activities relating to Private Credit and Private Equity investments.
- Maintain and enhance internal controls, including SOX 404 requirements.
- Assist with audit processes and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide technical accounting support on complex investment and derivative transactions under US GAAP.
- Contribute to finance projects, process improvements, and wider reporting initiatives.
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified accountant (CPA, CA, ACA, or equivalent).
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related discipline.
- Big Four audit experience (minimum 2 years), ideally with exposure to investments or asset management.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, including ASC 320, ASC 815, ASC 820, and ASC 825.
- Experience with SOX 404 and public company reporting is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines.
- Experience with general ledger systems and financial reporting tools is beneficial.
