Regional Manager - South East

Salary: €75,513 +

Overview of the Role

The Regional Manager will oversee the delivery of education, training, and support services across the region on behalf of a charitable organisation committed to empowering individuals through high-quality, person-centred supports. This role ensures that services meet all educational, regulatory, and quality standards while contributing to the organisation’s mission and long-term strategic vision.

The postholder will lead regional operations teams, manage key stakeholder relationships, and drive continuous improvement across services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver sustainable services within agreed budgets, ensuring resources are managed efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Lead the annual business planning process for the region.
  • Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), using data to evaluate performance and ensure Outcomes and Impact Measures agreed with funders are achieved.
  • Support strategic planning and the development of new services aligned with the organisation’s five-year strategy.
  • Develop and maintain key relationships with funders (including ETBs and CHO regions), managing SLAs/contracts and identifying opportunities for service expansion.
  • Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation and organisational policy.
  • Support the implementation of the organisation’s Quality Assurance Strategy, ensuring adherence to regulatory bodies such as QQI, HIQA, and other funder requirements.
  • Guide teams on safeguarding, Trust in Care, complaints, and related operational matters.
  • Represent the organisation within local communities and with external stakeholders to promote services and strengthen relationships.
  • Work closely with health and social care stakeholders to determine appropriate placements for individuals.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, innovation, shared learning, and excellence in practice.
  • Promote a results-driven approach across management teams and embed strong performance management practices.
  • Ensure all organisational policies and procedures are followed and administrative processes are completed accurately.
  • Support strategic projects, conduct investigations, and participate in disciplinary panels as required.
  • Report key regional developments and operational matters to the Head of Operations.
  • Promote a culture of diversity, inclusion, and respect across the organisation.
  • Perform any other duties reasonably associated with the role.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a regional management role.
  • Third-level qualification in education, training, inclusion, healthcare, or another relevant field (Master’s degree desirable).
  • Proven experience leading large-scale operational projects and delivering measurable business outcomes.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience motivating and managing large, diverse teams.
  • Evidence of leading strategic change in complex organisations.
  • Experience developing and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including funders.
  • Exceptional organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience in budget control, reporting, and analysis.
  • Demonstrated alignment with the values and mission of a charitable or not-for-profit organisation.
  • Proven ability to make effective, strategic decisions in challenging circumstances.
  • Experience in the charity or not-for-profit sector is advantageous.
