Programme Assistant - Public Sector & Regulatory Programmes

Position:  Programme Assistant - Public Sector & Regulatory Department
Salary:  €28,313 per annum
Contract: 12 month contract

Working with public and private sector organisations, you will support their efforts to become more energy efficient. This position will play a key role will be providing general administrative support to the Department and will actively support department programmes day-to-day administration and stakeholder and customer communications requirements to ensure the efficient operation of programmes.

Responsibilities will include, but not limited to,:

  • Support programme operations and IT project development administrative activities.
  • Manage, develop and maintain internal database systems including purchase order commitments.
  • Support service requests among client organisations.
  • Co-ordinate administration of financial activities and reporting requirements.
  • Manage team databases and co-ordinate programme files including SharePoint management.
  • Support website updates for the Department.
  • Provide support to a wide range and variety of events delivered as part of Department’s work programme
  • Coordinate support emails and contact points with customers and liaise with other programmes, within and outside the Department, as required to provide required support.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:

  • Third level qualification or similar in a business, science, IT, or related area.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience of working in an administrative role, including a customer/stakeholder service office environment.
  • Well-developed IT skills including MS Office.
  • Good numeracy skills
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
  • A strong team player with ability to foster a positive working relationship with colleagues and external stakeholders.

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience of procurement processes.
  • Experience in event planning and management an advantage.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint.
  • Project management knowledge with ability to achieve key deadlines.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
