Procurement Executive – Dublin 2 – Government Body (Hybrid)
2 roles available – 1-Year contract & 2-Year contract
Salary: €60,000–€80,000 P.A. (Fixed, Non-Negotiable)
Hybrid: 3 days on-site, 2 days from home
A reputable government body in Dublin 2 is seeking two experienced procurement professionals to join its Corporate Governance, Legal Services & Secretariat function. These roles operate within a structured, compliance-focused environment, supporting best-practice procurement in line with Irish and EU regulations.
You will provide expert advice to internal stakeholders, manage end-to-end tenders, and ensure full regulatory compliance. The positions demand strong technical expertise, independence, and the ability to engage confidently with all levels of the organisation.
Key Duties:
- Manage full end-to-end public procurement processes from specification to contract award.
- Advise budget holders on appropriate procurement routes, including OGP frameworks.
- Prepare and review ITT documentation and procurement templates.
- Administer tender processes via the eTenders platform, including publication and award notices.
- Ensure compliance with EU directives and national public procurement guidelines.
- Support evaluation panels, including scoring oversight and drafting standstill/notification letters.
- Maintain tender and contract registers with accurate, audit-ready records.
- Contribute to updating procurement procedures in line with regulatory changes.
- Provide procurement guidance and, where required, stakeholder training.
- Prepare procurement-related reports for senior management and governance committees (role dependent).
Essential Requirements:
- 3–5+ years’ experience in public sector procurement (procurement as primary function).
- Strong knowledge of Irish public procurement regulations and EU directives.
- Proven experience using the eTenders platform.
- Experience managing full end-to-end tender processes in a public sector setting.
- Level 8 NFQ third-level qualification (minimum).
- Relevant procurement qualification (or in progress) for senior-level applicants.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Excellent written communication and high attention to detail.
Desirable:
- Experience reporting to governance/compliance committees.
- Experience developing or reviewing procurement policies and templates.
- Experience delivering procurement training.
- Full clean driving licence.
