A hugely interesting role has arisen for an enthusiastic and personable researcher to join the team of a Top 5 firm in Dublin.
This role will suit someone who is passionate about the law and has excellent research skills. You will have completed a legal degree and potentially some further study in legal matters and decided not to pursue a career as a Solicitor. This role offers a path to pursue a career in commercial law firms, work alongside solicitors and play a key role in building and maintaining the library and knowledge bank for the firm.
This role will not suit candidates pursuing FE1 examinations.
In this dynamic role your duties will include:
- Acting as point of contact for trainees as they seek knowledge content and other library resources.
- Provide trainees and solicitors with the most up-to-date knowledge on case law and legal developments.
- Monitor domestic and international legal publications and developments and develop content to support the work of the firm.
- Deliver and develop training on legal research methodologies and legal knowledge sources.
- Disseminate relevant information and findings to users across the firm including the Head of Knowledge, Professional Support Lawyers and also externally to clients.
The suitable candidate will have:
- A third level qualification in law. It would be advantageous to have additional qualification/s in information management and systems, library skills and / or research skills.
- Strong knowledge of legal research methods.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills – strong ability to build relationships with other members of the firm and to communicate effectively with professionals at all levels.
- Strong presentation skills.
