Learning & Development Business Partner required for NGO in Dublin West

Job Purpose

The person will have responsibility for supporting existing and emerging staff development needs across the organisation, with particular emphasis on creating specified L&D ‘pathways’, and a culture that embraces coaching and the use of Personal Development Plans for management and leadership roles.

This is also a key role in assessing and evaluating management and leadership capabilities and leveraging the use of professional and pedagogical qualifications to support employee development.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead the assessment of supervisory and management capability across specified business areas, to include the development of assessment tools; and gathering feedback from the business in identifying employee succession planning information.
  • Lead the roll-out of Personal Developing Plans for supervisory and management roles across specified business areas in order to strengthen a culture of personal responsibility towards continuous professional development.
  • Support the development of a coaching strategy in order to enhance managerial capability and people development best practice to include building an internal bank of coaches across specified business areas and alignment with a ‘Managing People’ Coaching Pathway.

Minimum Education & Skills required

  • A third level qualification or equivalent (NFQ8) in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Minimum 5 years relevant Learning and Development / Organisational Development experience
  • How to create a learning culture and environment that supports continuing professional development
  • How to integrate current and future trends in adult learning and motivation into the organisation’s learning approach
  • How to develop change management approaches that align with culture and objectives
