Job Summary:
As the Head of Finance at the Irish Management Institute (IMI), you'll play a pivotal role in leading and managing the financial operations. This senior leadership position calls for a strategic and results-oriented professional with exceptional financial acumen and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with IMI's goals. Provide strategic financial guidance.
- Financial Management: Oversee all financial operations, ensuring compliance and managing cash flow effectively.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a high-performance culture. Collaborate with other departments for a cohesive organizational approach.
- Financial and Management Reporting: Prepare accurate financial statements and reports. Present information to the Board and senior management.
- Audit and Compliance: Coordinate internal and external audits, ensure compliance, and maintain robust internal controls.
- Strategic Financial Decision-Making: Provide insights, evaluate business opportunities, and collaborate on the financial impact of strategic initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA).
- Proven experience (8-10 years) in senior finance leadership, preferably in education or professional services.
- Strong understanding of financial management, budgeting, and strategic planning.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a diverse finance team.
- Experience with ERP systems and financial software.
