An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and ambitious Fund Accountant to join a dynamic finance team, supporting the finance operations for Ireland’s sovereign development and wealth funds. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare daily and monthly management and cash reporting.
- Conduct daily review and analysis of the Fund NAV and reporting provided by the Custodian.
- Prepare and reconcile accounting journals and track daily cash activity.
- Collate and review the Custodian month-end reporting and reconciliations.
- Assist in the administration of loans and in collating fund documentation for tax advisors.
- Build and foster internal and external relationships.
- Work on projects and ad-hoc tasks as required.
Key Skills and Requirements:
- Qualified/Part-Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) desirable. Third level qualification preferably in Finance or Accounting.
- At least 3 years’ experience in Fund Accounting.
- Knowledge of Hedge Markets essential; Private Market products desirable.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly and work independently.
- Experience in the administration and accounting of various investments.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Understanding of Journal Entry and the role of Finance in a strong control environment.
