This leading Lifestyle Retail Chain are currently seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join their team in Co Carlow. We are looking for an organised, process-driven person, capable of attention to detail and excited at the prospect of working with a business in expansion mode.

Key Job Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the planning and implementation of strategic goals and objectives of the business
- Financial planning, forecasting, budgeting and preparation of financial statements and sales reports.
- Management of the finance team/function: accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, payroll, and EPOS data
- Preparation of monthly management accounts, cashflow projections, variance reports and other ad hoc reports as requested by the board of directors
- Cash handling and management for 3 stores (balancing tills, liaising with cash collection company)
- Preparation of year-end files for external auditors
- Overseeing all records and systems to ensure they are audit-ready and comply with financial and regulatory standards in Ireland
- Preparation and filing of tax returns including VAT, Intrastat, and payroll
- Other ad hoc duties as required
The Ideal Candidate will have:
- Third-level qualification in business or a related discipline
- Professional accountancy qualification (CPA/ACCA/ACA)
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, and accounting systems
- 3-5 years of experience in a financial controller role in a company with an annual turnover of over €14m.
- Experience in financial reporting for multiple store locations and subsidiaries
- Experience in preparing statutory audit files for external audit compliance
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven ability to lead from the front and develop a team
This is a full time permanent and office based role (with some flexibility)
Salary €70k plus benefits.
