Financial Analyst required for global Telecoms & Utilities organisation in Dublin 22
The Group’s functional reporting currency is € and it operates in both Ireland and the UK. This role will be primarily focused on three of the key divisions in the ROI business.
Reporting directly to the Commercial Finance Manager
Key Duties:
- Analysing and investigating variances; summarising data, information and trends.
- Assistance with preparing weekly and monthly operational figures & KPI’s and hold weekly calls with contract managers to talk through them their performance.
- Assist in the preparation of a monthly management deck for the central finance team.
- Assist in annual Budget preparation, Business plan and reforecasts.
- Liaising with Group commercial functions providing support as required.
- Responsible for reviewing certain entity Balance Sheets accounts on a monthly basis.
- Development of key Power BI reports, to ensure proper and efficient analysis and trend analysis.
- Financial Systems and Controls – assisting in the continuous review and strengthening of the systems of internal control.
- Posting of monthly ad-hoc journals as and when required.
- Ad - hoc reporting and analysis as required.
Key Relationships:
- Develop and maintain an open relationship with Commercial Finance Manager, Finance Managers, Contract Managers and Senior Project Managers
- Develop and maintain open relationships with Directors and other key personnel appropriate for the effective execution of the role.
Key Skills
- Recently qualified ACA or similar e.g. ACCA, CIMA.
- Self – motivation, determination and confidence in your abilities.
- Strong Interpersonal skills.
- Strong IT skills, in particular advanced use of excel.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong numeracy aptitude.
- Excellent problem solving skill.
- Ability to work multiple assignments with varying deadlines.
- Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Navision (4PS) would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of Power BI / Solver would be an advantage.
Salary €65,000 plus bonus, pension, health insurance & 25 days annual leave. Hybrid working role: 3 days in office, 2 from home.
