Newly Qualified Accountant – Financial Analyst
This top-tier global law firm in Dublin 2 is currently recruiting a Newly Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA) for a Financial Analyst position.
As a key member of the Finance team, reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you will play an important role in enhancing financial control, reporting accuracy, and business insight. This role is ideally suited to a recently qualified accountant (0–2 years PQE) with an interest in finance, analytics, and the intersection of finance and IT systems.
This is a highly collaborative and cross-functional role, offering exposure across the wider business and direct engagement with senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive and maintain monthly management reporting, including analysis against operational KPIs at both departmental and individual fee earner level
- Deliver detailed financial analysis to support business decision-making and performance improvement
- Collaborate with the Finance Management Team on presentations, reporting packs, and board-level reporting
- Liaise with Partners and internal stakeholders to respond to finance-related queries
- Support and mentor trainees and junior team members where required
- Lead or contribute to finance transformation projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist with ad hoc analysis, reporting, and business insights as required
- Present KPI performance at individual fee earner level
- Act as a key liaison with the internal IT team in relation to the practice management system
- Support system enhancements, implementations, and process improvements
About You
- Recently qualified ACA / ACCA (0–2 years post-qualification experience)
- Strong academic background and technical accounting knowledge
- Excellent analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail with advanced IT and Excel capabilities
- Exposure to systems, reporting tools, or implementations is an advantage
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively
