This Semi-State Financial/Banking organisation in Dublin 1 is currently seeking a Financial Accountant to join their team.

As a Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for providing financial and transaction support services to all business areas within the company and other agencies This is a permanent role reporting to the Finance Manager, and it represents an excellent opportunity for a finance professional to take up a challenging position supporting the finance function service delivery across a range of evolving and diverse businesses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Production of monthly management accounts and annual statutory accounts together with all ancillary reports.
  • Intercompany recharge preparation.
  • Preparation of regulatory reporting to external bodies including the Central Statistics Office and Central Bank of Ireland.
  • Preparation of a range of annual and interim financial statements under FRS102 and IFRS.
  • Preparation of daily and monthly management information and KPI’s.
  • Preparation of the annual operating budgets and forecasts.
  • Ad-hoc reporting including the preparation of responses to Parliamentary Questions and Freedom of Information requests.

Key Skills and Requirements

  • Fully qualified accounting professional with previous experience in the preparation of financial statements and management accounts.
  • Experience in financial services or in the banking sector is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to form good working relationships/good interpersonal skill.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to the role and demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Analytical with good problem-solving skills.
