This global professional services organisation is hiring a Finance Manager to work with their client in Dublin 2.
Duties & Responsibilities
The Finance Manager shall undertake tasks including those listed below:
Financial Management and Control Processes
- Assist in the management and development the finance team, proactively taking ongoing steps to optimise business processes and build team capacity;
- Maintain high-quality financial management reports, financial analysis and key performance indicators;
- Ensure high-quality and up-to-date procedure documents are maintained for areas of responsibility including financial governance guidance and polies;
- Lead monthly financial meetings with operations and project managers
- Review of month end reporting packs including reconciliations required as part of this governance process
- Support the identification and management of fixed assets generated from projects;
- Ensure the timely and accurate completion of the month end management reporting and business partnering
- Management and enhancement of monthly, quarterly and annual controls and assist in development and enhancement of control procedures and matrices;
- Monitor expenditure carefully against budget and drive a ‘value for money’ ethos within the finance team
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of the annual budgets and coordination across finance areas,
- Support the management and development of the existing accounting system and controls;
- Automate and integrate efficiencies within the team and processes and enhance reporting and KPIs for senior management review;
- Ensure that all financial business requirements and system designs are clearly defined and are communicated; and
- Develop financial policy and procedural documentation, reporting structures and financial KPI’s for delivery to operations team;
Governance
- Ensure procurement procedures are in accordance with national and EU public procurement guidelines, regulations and directives;
- Ensure that a systematic risk assessment process is embedded in each project and play a key role in identifying and managing risk;
- Ensure that the operation of the programme and related projects are developed in accordance with the organisations internal control framework;
- Maintain and continue to enhance the internal financial control framework for each project; and
- Support audit assignments performed by internal and external audit and other regulatory bodies.
Other
- Represent the Finance Department to the highest standard at all times, and especially when participating in the formation of procurement documentation and tender evaluations;
- Work effectively as a ‘finance business partner’, building strong relationships across the organisation, operating in a flexible and collaborative manner, while quickly adapting to the evolving requirements of the Finance function.
- Embed an ethos of innovation and continuous improvement within the team; and
- Assist with other ad hoc assignments outside of the team and generally support the team.
- Other ad-hoc duties as agreed.
About the person
- Qualified Accountant with post-qualification experience in industry an advantage;
- Highly motivated self-starter with excellent attention to detail;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- An effective team player, who demonstrates excellent leadership and negotiation skills.
This is a full time, permanent and hybrid working role. Salary €80k plus excellent bens package
