Events Officer - Membership Organisation

I am recruiting an Events Officer on behalf of my client, a renowned membership organisation. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with excellent organisational skills, a passion for delivering high-quality events, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
About the Role:
The Events Officer will play a vital role in planning, coordinating, and delivering the organisation’s flagship International Conference alongside a range of regional and local events. Working closely with the Senior Events Manager, Head of Operations, and Knowledge Team, you’ll ensure every event is executed to the highest standard — from managing speaker communications to overseeing the conference app and supporting marketing campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Senior Events Manager in delivering high-quality international, regional, and local events within budget and deadlines.
- Coordinate with speakers, committees, and event partners.
- Manage and maintain the annual conference app from build to launch.
- Prepare agendas, minutes, reports, and evaluation documents for committees and senior leadership.
- Liaise with venues, caterers, AV contractors, and other suppliers.
- Work with the Knowledge Team to deliver marketing campaigns across social media and digital platforms.
- Keep the website and communications updated with event information.
- Manage recordings and content uploads post-conference.
About You:
Essential
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in event support or a similar role.
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office suite).
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently, handle multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
Desirable
- Basic design or website skills (Adobe, WordPress, HTML) or willingness to learn.
- Experience with marketing campaigns.
- Minute-taking experience.
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
Education
- Undergraduate degree in hospitality management or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
