Energy Data Analyst – Buildings & Performance
Location: Dublin, Sligo, Dundalk, or Cork (Blended working available)
Salary: €73,961 per annum (non-negotiable)
Contract: 18-month fixed term
Annual Leave: 27 days
A public sector body is seeking a Energy Data Analyst – Buildings & Performance to join its Technical Department, supporting delivery of energy performance improvements in line with EU directives. This is a data-centric role focused on enhancing the Building Energy Rating (BER) framework through data strategy, analytics, and collaboration across methodology, systems, and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage research and analysis projects to inform Minimum Energy Performance standards (MEPs) under the EPBD recast.
- Streamline BER frameworks through advanced data processing and analytics.
- Develop operational dashboards using Power BI.
- Support implementation of calculation methodologies and digital tools including BER certificates, advisory reports, digital logbooks, and building databases.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including industry bodies and assessors.
- Work with technical teams to integrate methodologies into energy assessment software platforms.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong project management abilities with a proactive, results-focused mindset.
- Expertise in SQL, relational databases, data governance, and Power BI.
- Understanding of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive and Irish Building Regulations.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work in cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams.
