Data Governance Analyst - Financial Services
A candidate with strong Data Governance and Data Protection experience is being sought by a well-known financial services firm. This is a newly created role which will offer a lot of autonomy and require a candidate with a strong ability to manage their own workload and take initiative.
If you have an excellent knowledge of Data Protection legislation and management procedures this is a chance to take on a challenging role. You will need to be strong on the IT side of data protection and be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of data protection frameworks.
Suitable candidates for this role will have:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Data Governance, Data Control or Data Protection.
- Strong understanding of Data Protection frameworks and legislation particularly as it stands within the Financial Service sector.
- Excellent analytical skills including the ability to interpret large data sets, conduct gap analyses, identify relevant issues and to suggest risk-based solutions.
This is a permanent role with a hybrid office arrangement. The offices are in Dublin 2, only minutes from the Green Line Luas and several bus routes. The duties in this role will vary according to business need, projects and ongoing policy improvements but you will be responsible for:
- Upkeep and promotion of Data Protection standards across the business in Ireland, including the production of internal communications and guidance on best practice.
- Identify areas for improvement in data across the business and development of strategies.
- Coordination of Data Subject Access Requests, GDPR queries, and Records of Processing Activities.
- Preparation of monthly reporting for management, development of monitoring controls and conducting of audits to ensure continued best practice.
