This leading international law and professional services firm is looking for an AVP Accountant to join their dynamic team in their Dublin office. The firm is renowned for providing top-tier legal, corporate, and fiduciary services across the globe.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of financial statements for capital markets and aircraft leasing SPVs to meet transactional and statutory deadlines.
- Full responsibility for the preparation of financial statements under IFRS or local GAAP, including audit preparation and delivery.
- Lead the onboarding of new clients from an accounting perspective, including reviewing transaction documents and designing the general ledger.
- Train and manage junior team members.
- Take on a portfolio of SPV directorships for broader exposure to transactions and clients.
- Lead interactions with auditors and clients to ensure successful completion of financial statements.
- Manage quarterly management accounts for aircraft leasing SPVs and ensure compliance with VAT, corporation tax, and regulatory returns.
Key Skills and Requirements
- Qualified ACA / ACCA accountant with a minimum of 2 years post-qualification financial services experience.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and proficiency in MS Office with advanced Excel skills.
- Experience in auditing/accounting within a Top 10 accounting firm or corporate services company.
- Ability to review complex SPV transactions from an accounting perspective.
- Experience managing audit trainees/newly qualified accountants.
- Familiarity with financial reporting, VAT, and corporation tax compliance is advantageous.
