We are working with a leading organisation in the energy and utilities sector that is seeking an experienced Automation Maintenance Technician to join its engineering team in Offaly.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on critical generating assets, maintaining advanced automation and control systems while contributing to plant reliability, operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Perform planned preventative and reactive maintenance on automation, control and instrumentation systems.
- Calibrate and maintain process instrumentation including pressure, flow, level, pH and analytical equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve faults across DCS, SCADA and PLC systems to maximise plant availability.
- Install, modify and commission automation equipment, instrumentation and control systems.
- Carry out PLC, DCS and SCADA modifications to support operational and plant changes.
- Support commissioning, outages and continuous improvement projects to enhance reliability and performance.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, manage spare parts and ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.
About You
- Recognised apprenticeship with a qualification in Automation, Electrical, Instrumentation or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in automation, instrumentation or industrial maintenance.
- Strong hands-on experience with DCS, SCADA, PLC and industrial control systems.
- Background in power generation, utilities, manufacturing or another process-driven environment.
- Strong fault-finding skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
