They are passionate about tackling climate challenges and are seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join their Data and Insights Department over an 18 month contract.

The salary attached to the position is €72,551 and the hybrid working policy to 2 days on site per week in Dublin 2.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a range of analytical models including heat, energy efficiency, transport, and electricity system modelling tools.
- Develop new analytical tools using Python and Power BI.
- Prepare, integrate, and analyse programme data and external data to support impact assessments.
- Develop input to inform policy advice and analysis for Government Departments and public sector organisations.
- Produce data visualisations to illustrate analytical insights.
- Identify current and future data gaps and continuously develop model methodology.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with external stakeholders.
Key Skills and Requirements
Essential:
- Postgraduate Degree in Computer Science, IT, Statistics, Engineering, Economics, or Science.
- Minimum four years’ experience in a related field.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Excel and extensive practical experience using Python.
- Practical experience in querying data using SQL or similar query language.
- Knowledge of advanced data analysis and modelling.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Passion for climate action and sustainable energy policy.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of the energy sector and experience with energy data.
- Experience with cloud services for data processing.
