This leading Professional Education Members organisation in Dublin 2 are currently recruiting for a Finance Lead to join their finance team
This role will report to the Finance Director and work closely with other departments and Team Leads to ensure that financial reporting and analysis is delivered on a timely basis to all stakeholders including budget holders.
The Financial Lead will be responsible for managing a team of financial professionals and ensuring that all financial operations are conducted in compliance with the company's policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Maintenance of financial ledgers and accounting processes
- Preparation of Monthly /Quarterly P&L
- Timely production of statutory and internal financial reports
- Ensuring that appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained.
- Run and overseeing the payroll process.
- Preparation of Vat, PAYE and PRSI returns.
- Liaise with External auditors.
- Administration of the Creditors/Debtors Ledge
- Bank reconciliation.
- Maintenance of internal controls.
- Reconciliation Revenues returns.
- Reconciliation of On-Line credit card payments.
- Preparation of Creditors payments by EFT/Cheque.
- Balance sheet reconciliations.
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the annual budget.
- Coordinate the financial planning for the year end audit in line with agreed annual consolidation schedules
Qualifications & Experience:
- Candidates must have a strong working knowledge and experience in general ledger accounting and the preparation of monthly/annual accounts.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field
- ACCA, CAI or CIMA, with 3 -5 years’ experience.
- 5+ years of experience in finance or accounting
- Experience with financial reporting and analysis
- Experience in processing a monthly/weekly payroll.
Essential Skills
- Candidates must have strong IT literacy with strong data analytic skills and have direct experience in the use of accounting systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with financial software systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Commercial and business awareness are essential
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
- A keen eye for detail and desire to probe further into data.
- Deadline-orientated and an ability to stick to time constraints.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team
Hours Mon-Fri 9-5:15 (with flexitime) This is full-time permanent role. 4 days WFH and 1 day a week in the office
Salary €55,000-€60000 plus pension and hols.
