EO Corporate Governance Administrator

I am seeking to fill a permanent role at Executive Officer grade to assist within the Corporate Governance & Council section of my client based in Dublin 2.  The role reports to the Corporate Governance Manager on all matters pertaining to the work of the section. It is currently a WFH position pending government guidelines. The salary on offer is €31,384 pro rata. There are 23 days AL. A 6-Month probationary period applies to this appointment.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing administrative support for Council, Committee & Working Groups that fall within the responsibilities of the section – including supporting the Corporate Governance Manager in drafting agendas, compiling and circulating briefs and drafting of minutes.
  • Providing administrative support as needed including the election process, member recruitment and all induction and training processes (and ongoing Learning & Development programmes) associated with the organisation.
  • Organising and managing internal and external meetings.
  • Attending meetings and take minutes when required.
  • Supporting Council/Committee meetings via Zoom.
  • Drafting correspondence.
  • Organising and assisting with ongoing internal and external communication (including telephone calls, email and letters) with individuals and organisations relevant to the work of the team.
  • Observing organisational policies, procedures, good practice guidance relevant to the role and to assigned tasks and procedures
  • Performing any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Required qualifications and experience:

  • Strong interpersonal skills – the successful candidate must be comfortable engaging with a variety of stakeholders, and colleagues at different grades.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion at all times when dealing with information.
  • Highly organised approach to all tasks, with strong attention to detail in executing complex tasks and procedures.
  • Ability to flex and adapt to changing demands and manage competing priorities.
  • Must be comfortable with and have the ability to continuously meet deadlines set internally, and by legislation.
  • Strong ICT skills
  • Available as required, from time to time, to work outside of the core hours listed above.

Qualifications:

  • Applicants for this post must have at least two years’ satisfactory experience working in a busy, high pressure administrative role preferably in an organisation which operates procedures and activities within a statutory framework.
  • A minimum qualification requirement is that the applicant holds a Leaving Certificate or equivalent educational training qualification.
  • A third level qualification is desirable but not essential.
